Resident Camp is a 4 Day 3 Night Adventure in the Outdoors
Activities
Include:
BB Gun, Archery, Swimming, Canoeing, Crafts,
Games, Sports, Nature, 2 Campfire Programs,
And Much Much More!
Where is Resident

FROM JACKSONVILLE
OR ORANGE PARK
Take SR 21 (Blanding Boulevard South until you reach Melrose Florida. At
Traffic Light in Melrose go straight for 3 miles and turn left on Baden
Powell Road. (Sign will be on the right for Camp) Travel 4 Miles to Baden
Powell Scout Reservation. Camp Shands is Located on the right. Follow
road until dead end. Registration is at the LODGE.
FROM GAINESVILLE OR OCALA
Take 301 North to SR 26 Go right on 26 to Melrose and take right at
traffic light and then follow the same directions as above
FROM ST AUGUSTINE
Take SR 207 to Palatka. At Light Take Right on SR 100. (Make Left where
SR 100 and 17 Split: Hardees Landmark) Follow this Road for 15 miles.
You will pass the small towns of Florahome and Caraway. At traffic Light
in Putnam Hall take Left on SR 26 Take SR 26 to Melrose. Once in Melrose
Take Left at Light and follow above directions.

Cost for Youth-- $75 if paid
before June 1, 2002, where the fee becomes $90. All participants
Registered before July 15, 2002 will receive a Camp T-shirt, after July
15, 2002 No T-shirt will be provided. Cost Includes all meals, Program
materials, patch and T-shirt)
Cost for Adults--$30
Includes Meals, Patch, and T-Shirt

Registration is
accepted on a first come first served basis. Please note a minimum of 50
youth is needed. A participation guide will be mailed to your unit leader
or you can view it on our council web site at
www.nfcbsa.org by March 1, 2002.
Camp fee is $75/ Scout
and $30/Adult if received before June 1, 2002. After June 1, 2002 the fee
becomes $90/Scout and $30/Adult. You can pay in full or make a deposit to
reserve your spot
